何事でも自己中心や虚栄からすることなく、
へりくだって、互いに人を自分よりもすぐれた者と思いなさい。
自分のことだけではなく、他の人のことも顧みなさい。
あなたがたの間では、そのような心構えでいなさい。
それはキリスト・イエスのうちにも見られるものです。
キリストは神の御姿である方なのに、神のあり方を捨てられないとは考えず、
ご自分を無にして、仕える者の姿をとり、人間と同じようになられました。…

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
but in humility consider others better than yourselves.
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus:
Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped,
but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
