By this gospel you are saved,
if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you.
Otherwise, you have believed in vain.
For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance :
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
that he was buried,
that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,

また、もしあなたがたがよく考えもしないで信じたのでないなら、
私の宣べ伝えたこの福音のことばをしっかりと保っていれば、
この福音によって救われるのです。
私があなたがたに最もたいせつなこととして伝えたのは、
私も受けたことであって、次のことです。
キリストは、聖書の示すとおりに、私たちの罪のために死なれたこと、
また、葬られたこと、
また、聖書の示すとおりに、三日目によみがえられたこと、
